Are you going to Foodex? See us on stand Y249

March 16, 2018

Are you going to Foodex at the NEC next month? It’s a fixture I always recommend and not just because we’re exhibiting at the show.

In some ways, it’s Britain’s nearest equivalent to IBIE in the States or Germany’s IBA. But because bakery is such a multi-faceted sector, the beauty of Foodex is that you get to learn about innovations in lots of complementary areas, be that food-to-go, the meat trade or general food manufacturing.

Our own emphasis at this year’s Foodex will be on digital transformation, ie using the latest cloud and analytics technologies to create better applications for our customers – software that’s easier to deploy than ever in order to streamline operations and get the reports they need.

Case in point: increasing numbers of our retail customers now use our cloud app Cybake Instore to crunch their sales numbers and forecast the right quantities of the right products for their stores. The result? Improved availability, better sales and less waste.

Another example? Cybake Inbound, our most recently released cloud-based solution, which gives wholesalers their own customised online store. Customers get a clearer way of interacting with the bakery, new accounts are attracted by the convenience of ordering online and, as the customer places the orders, errors are reduced.

We’ll also be demoing sister-brand BakePlan, our unique production forecasting system for in-store bakeries and food-to-go operators, and Cybake Infood, our FIR compliance tool that generates allergen and nutritional info for labels and EpoS tills as well as producing specification documents.

But our biggest news at Foodex will be an important announcement about the future direction of Cybake, our flagship bakery management solution. I can’t reveal the full details just yet but if you’re a current user or you’re thinking about taking the step up to Cybake soon, this is one story you will not want to miss.

I’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, Foodex is always a busy event so if you are going and you would like a demo of any of the Cybake family of bakery management solutions, please get in touch and I’ll make sure you are booked with a hands-on session at the show.

Foodex runs from April 16-18 at the NEC, Birmingham. Trade passes are free by registering on the Foodex website: https://foodex-2018-visitor.reg.buzz/. You can find Cybake on stand Y249 in Hall 3a.
